Mark Masonry in Dukinfield- alive and kicking

Wednesday the 14th of October was a special date in the history of Dukinfield mark nr 1107 as it was the Installation meeting of Bro Thomas Daniel in a ceremony witnessed not only by our DPGM John Miller, but also his counterpart from the Province of Lincolnshire WBro Phil Aitken, but what is it that attracts Mark Masons from across the country to Dukinfield Mark on an autumnal evening in October?

Firstly, it could well be the warmth of the welcome, the open friendliness of the Lodge and the fun element of the right mix of serious and sincere ritual with a healthy enjoyment of the well performed ceremony, a theme which carries on into the festive board, where the catering is again first class.

This is quite typical of the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner degree in Dukinfield, and the historic Ashton and District Lodge of Mark Master Masons (TI)- one of the oldest in the constitution also combines a strong sense of tradition with a very similar blend of a welcome and enjoyment.
Indeed, and quite unusually, the two Mark Lodges support the recently Consecrated Benjamin Addy Royal Ark Mariner Lodge, which meets conjointly with each Mark lodge in rotation, and in doing so also boosts the numbers attending both Mark Lodges, both of which are seeing a gradual increase in Membership in what have to be acknowledged as generally difficult times.

If you are interested in the Mark degree or indeed joining a thriving Royal Ark Mariner Lodge, and live local or indeed not so local to Dukinfield, please get in touch and we would be more than happy to provide further information to help you on your journey.

One thing is for sure, you will enjoy a visit to
Dukinfield, so why not find out more?
